SnowDay! (2 Great Resources)

Its a snowy day here at Mohon, and most of you are home (shovelling, i imagine!) Keith sent me this picture of his front yard in Berne! I have a short commute, so I made it to work but only after busting through a 4 foot high bank at the end of the driveway.

I wanted to share 2 links that i thought might be particularly useful:

1. 100 Video Sites Every Educator Should Bookmark -which is self explanatory...

and

2. The Awesome Highlighter - Which allows you to highlight the essential points and add "stickynotes" on any particular web page then send someone the link (or make the link available on your web page) with YOUR HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDED!

Great stuff...

Publish anything you Create at Issuu.com

I made this little electronic book for my son Caleb using a canned template in Microsoft Word, some photos, and an idea I got from this blog post. This site has incredible possibilities. Basically you can publish (or a class can publish) their own reports or books. You simply upload a word document or a PDF and it turns it into a publication. Imagine students creating their own magazine, story book or comic book (using comic life software?) and publishing it to a class library. It comes out looking like a professional publication! Once it's published, you can place it anywhere...just as I did above...It is free and there are no limitations on the number of documents you publish. Check it out! Click on the publication above or go to Issuu.com .
